Welcome,

My name is Claudia Sellmaier and I am an Associate Professor at the University of Washington Tacoma and I am a social worker. The main focus of my research is on work-life fit for parents of children with a disability. You won’t hear the term work-life fit much in public discourse, but there has been a lot of media conversation about work-family or work-life balance. I talk more about why I prefer fit over balance in one of my blog posts.

I am also interested in disability more broadly and have looked into the experience of social work students, faculty, and staff who identify as disabled.
